Biltong & Cheddar Potjie Bread

 500 g store-bought bread dough
 1 cup grated cheddar
 100 g fine beef biltong
 melted butter

Grease a No. 3 cast-iron potjie with butter. Knead the biltong and half the cheddar into the dough. Shape into balls, place in the pot, and top with the remaining cheese. Cover with the lid. Place the pot on a few dull coals, and place 3 or 4 live coals on top of the lid. Bake for 45–60 minutes until hollow when tapped.
