Marinate the chicken for at least 4 hours. Set up indirect medium coals (coals pushed to the sides of the braai). Place the chicken skin-side up on the grid. Cook covered for 45 minutes, turning occasionally and basting. Finish skin-side down over direct coals for 5 minutes for a crisp char.
